Lough Shore Investments joins the search for Belfast's best start-up

Lough Shore Investments is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the seventh annual Belfast Business Top 50 and this year's new award which will look to identify Belfast's best start-up.

This year's Belfast Business Top 50 will see the top individuals and companies who have pioneered business in Belfast honoured in the Long Gallery at Stormont on Thursday 29th September.

Stephen Morrow of Lough Shore Investments said: "We're keen to find entrepreneurs with fresh, innovative ideas who are making waves in their market. We need young companies – three-year-old or younger – which are based in greater Belfast, have at least one employee and some revenues and believe they have the potential to set the world on fire."

Alderman Tom Ekin said: "Starting a business shows courage, individuality, vision, and ability. Characteristics which are not encouraged enough in Northern Ireland. Dreams are only a waste of time when they do not lead to action. Northern Ireland needs courageous starters to make us a successful and exciting place to live in"

Máirtín Ó Muilleoir of Belfast Media Group said: "No matter how magnificent or how global the business, at some stage it started out small. Our aim is to identify the next generation of knockout ideas being turned into awesome businesses by smart, determined entrepreneurs."

The Belfast Business Top 50 is also being supported by, LBM, Delta Print and Packaging, North City Business, Invest NI and UCIT.
