Danny Moore delivers keynote address at 11th annual InterTradeIreland Venture Capital Conference
Lough Shore Investments principal and founder, Danny Moore, delivered the keynote address at this year's 11th annual InterTradeIreland Venture Capital Conference, which took place in Belfast City Hall on Wednesday 7th March.
The conference was designed to facilitate networking between Ireland’s leading venture capitalists, business angels and start ups that are seeking funding from across the island of Ireland.
The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Navigating the Funding Maze’ and built on the experiences of companies that have been through the venture capital process and showcased the options and opportunities that are out there for Irish companies today.
Speaking at the launch of the conference, Danny Moore said: “There is a genuine entrepreneurial spirit within the business community here,” said Danny, “and whilst the current economic climate may be daunting, for those with the right project and the drive and determination to succeed, there is a considerable amount of venture capital and early stage funding available.
“There are a lot of early stage companies that are presenting very exciting technologies and innovation that is scalable globally but without access to proper funding, many of these exciting new businesses will not meet their potential and this conference seeks to break down the funding barriers that can keep burgeoning businesses from moving to the next level.”
Delegates at the Conference were able to put questions to the active venture funds on the island, hear first hand experiences from companies that raised finance as well as perspectives from key investors Danny Moore, Principal at Lough Shore Investments and Dennis R. Costello, Managing Partner at Braemar Energy Ventures.
